2011 Amway Hero Award Winners Announced
The presentation of the 2011 Amway Hero Award Winners brought an emotional close to the Achievers Business Meeting. Moving videos shared the incredible stories of the winners for Determination, Generosity, Leadership, and Patriotism. The 2011 winners:
In the Category of Determination, Hero – Stephen Willoby
Stephen survived a tour of duty in Iraq as a bomb-disposal technician with the Air Force, only to nearly die after breaking his neck in a diving accident. The tragedy left the former staff sergeant unable to move his legs and control his hands, and limited use of his arms. Stephen lives by the terms “Adapt and Overcome.” “That’s all anyone can do in the face of adversity. How you adapt determines how you’re going to live the rest of your life. Watch Stephen’s Hero video for his complete story of taking advantage of his second chance at life.
In the Category of Generosity, Hero – Tim Foley
Tim earned two Super Bowl rings as a Miami Dolphin in the 1970s, but he’d rather talk about his work with Habitat for Humanity in Central America. “I believe if ‘The Guy In Charge’ lets you make some money, you ought to do something valuable with it.” Watch Tim’s full Hero video for his complete story of how he plans to build more than 40 homes with the help of IBOs in the eFinity group.
In the Category of Leadership, Hero – Ulises Feliz
“Everyone around me was expecting excellence from me and I was ready to affirm those hopes.” Ulises, a Founders Diamond, has made it his mission to help fully develop the leadership qualities inherent in those IBOs who are downline from him.
