Angie and David Franklin
We feel like we make a difference – People often wonder why someone would want to add more work on top of their nine-to-five job. For David and Angie Franklin, the answer is easy.
“It wasn’t that we didn’t like what we were doing,” David says. (He was a district manager of a grocery chain; she was a nurse.) “We just knew there had to be more to life than the daily get up, go to work, come home, go to bed.”
When the Amway™ business opportunity knocked, they decided to answer.
“I had dabbled in the business in college,” David recollects. “I knew it worked. I had seen people succeed.” Now he was ready to put in the effort to do the same.
“It energized us to get off work and go out and chase our dreams!” Angie replies.
Then David lost his job – on the same day they qualified as Silver. “Gratefully, we didn’t lose our house and our business continued to grow,” he says.
Out of work for eight months, he eventually landed a job at a bank, where he’s currently a teller supervisor. “I’m looking forward to joining Angie full time in the business!” he states.
“Your dreams are only so big when you work as a nurse and a teller supervisor, because your dreams fit your income,” she says. “This business has opened our minds to new possibilities” – possibilities like raising a family while working from home, traveling the world with family and friends, and blessing their parents financially. “We’re so grateful to be able to give back to them, because they’ve done so much for us,” Angie says.
Also on their wish list: “A bigger property so we can entertain our team in style! We’ve made hundreds of lifelong friends with such servant hearts,” she says. “I didn’t realize how fulfilling this business was going to be. We feel like we make a difference.”
