We’re proof – it’s possible! – It started out as the title of their Emerald talk. Now Brandon and Dena West are known among fellow IBOs by the nickname “Permanent Summertime.”

“I’d gotten rid of my job (in landscaping sales) in March,” Brandon explains. “So last summer felt like summer vacation used to as a kid. We woke up every morning and did what we wanted to do. We took naps. We drove to visit our parents and didn’t worry about getting back at a certain time. We went out to lunch after the crowds left. It’s such a sense of freedom to no longer be controlled by somebody else’s watch!”

Brandon and Dena had an early taste of that freedom when they reached Silver. “Because of our Amway™ business, Dena was able to leave her teaching job to stay home with Savannah (now 10),” he says. (Son Colby is 5.)

But the couple from humble beginnings knew they wanted more for their family. “Amway offered us the opportunity to accomplish whatever we wanted with no prerequisites and no ceiling,” states Brandon.

Along the way, they learned the importance of partnering with upline mentors, “who’ve been the biggest blessing to us” and helped them see how to get from Silver to Emerald and beyond.

Now, like a summer day, the possibilities seem endless.

“We love the outdoors, so we want to purchase a bigger home in the country where our kids can roam,” he shares. The Wests also enjoy fishing, so a fishing boat and vacation home on a lake top their dream list. Dena can’t wait “to travel and experience the world with the kids.”

In the end, “People want to know: Can I succeed at this business?” Brandon says. “I’m high school-educated. We came from nothing. We’re proof – it’s possible!”
