César and Jeovanny Encarnación
“It’s about being able to actually dream” – César and Jeovanny Encarnacion had plenty of jobs between the two of them, but never enough money. “Our life was disastrous!” he says. “It was no way to live,” she concurs.
Then, when family life was nearly at the breaking point, the Amway™ business opportunity rode into their lives – in César’s taxi. “A customer asked me to attend an informational meeting with him.” Shortly thereafter, César soon discovered that his uncle and brothers had started their own Amway businesses. Today, more than 20 family members are building businesses, a fact that delights César.
Although they made good progress and reached 21 percent their second year, they couldn’t seem to capture the Silver pin. “It’s not enough to do all the right things,” says Jeovanny. “You have to show your team that you’re doing them so they follow your example.”
For César, it came down to facing his fear of going on stage. Once he did, the couple entered Silver qualification the very next month.
“This business teaches you how to relate to people, how to get the best out of them, and how to convey to them that it can be done,” he says. “As we explain, it doesn’t matter where you are, but where you are headed.”
Where César and Jeovanny are headed is up.
“It’s not just about having more time and money, but about being able to actually dream,” says Jeovanny. “This business gives you opportunities you can’t buy, like seeing the world, which takes money and time.”
The couple enjoy supporting the dreams of their children (César Jr., 17, Daniel, 14, and Moisés, 8) as well as the dreams of others, she says. “We thank God for giving Rich and Jay the vision for creating such a great company and opportunity we can share with others!”
