Cindy Khor – Emerald
As a young woman, Cindy Khor followed her sense of adventure from Malaysia to California, where she opened the first of three hair salons. Along the way, she heard about the AMWAY ™ business opportunity from her client who was just getting started.
“I joined to support her, but never did anything with it,” she says.
A dozen years later and experiencing a mysterious fatigue she couldn’t shake, Cindy sold her salons and planned to move back to Malaysia.
Then she got a call from her former sponsors. Not long after using NUTRILITE® Vitamin, Minerals, and Dietary Supplements, Cindy felt “significantly better”, not to mention “curious” about the source of her friends’ success.
“They helped me realize that I knew hundreds of people who could probably benefit from AMWAY products like I had, or from the business opportunity.”
She wishes now that she’d explored the prospect more thoroughly when it was first presented to her. “I feel very lucky to have a second chance and such a wonderful, caring upline,” she says. “I’ve benefitted from their knowledge and leadership enormously.”
These days, Cindy finds her adventurous streak nurtured by international travel associated with her AMWAY business. “Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t remember where I am!” she says, laughing.
The average monthly gross income earned by “active” IBOs was $115 (U.S.)/$181 (CAN.).
The percentage of IBOs who achieved Double Diamond and above qualification in FY08 was .0038%.
Based on an independent survey during 2001, approximately 66% of all IBOs of record were found to be active. “Active” means an IBO attempted to make a retail sale, or presented the Amway Independent Business Owner Compensation Plan, or received bonus money, or attended a company or IBO meeting in the year 2000.
“Gross Income” means the amount received from retail sales, minus the cost of goods sold, plus the amount of Performance Bonus retained. There may be significant business expenses, mostly discretionary, that may be greater in relation to income in the first years of operation. The success depicted may reflect income and investments outside the IBO Plan.
