‘Amway’s like a treasure map’ – When Cindy Min and Boksoo Lee joined their family in the United States, they did so with the intention of looking for a business to pursue. Boksoo had owned a retail shop back in Korea and someone had suggested that he might join Cindy’s brother in manufacturing. The more the couple explored their options, however, the steeper the startup costs seemed.

Then Cindy was introduced to the Amway™ business. “A friend of mine in Korea was in Amway, so I knew about it and had used the products,” she recalls. Despite not knowing many people here, Cindy decided to give Amway a try, “because I knew the products were good and the startup costs were small.

“We had lots of challenges to start, because we were new to the country,” she acknowledges. “But I gained confidence and hope from hearing other IBOs’ success stories. What other business can offer this type of success in such a short period of time?” she asks.

Eventually, Boksoo was able to leave his job as manager of a flower shop. “Before, I was focused on the now,” he says. “Now I’m among the five percent planning for the future,” he states proudly.

Cindy becomes emotional talking about their goals. “We want to live out our Christian faith by supporting missionary work. It’s also important to us to take good care of our parents. And we want to share our success with downline IBOs. We see them working hard and we want to encourage them by taking them on a cruise when we reach Diamond.”

Boksoo shares this advice: “Remember your first intentions, even if you face hard challenges, and never give up. The Amway business is like a treasure map. Use it to find your treasure.”
