Only up from here – Damaris Patrocinio “saw a big difference between an Amway™ business and a traditional business. There’s minimal financial investment and a lot of possibilities. And what I saw then was only the tip of the iceberg!
“To never owe anybody anything. To get up and go to bed whenever you want. To have the resources to help other people. To watch your kids grow up. To make plans whenever you want. That is priceless,” she says. “And I wasn’t able to do any of it before Amway.”
Having owned two traditional businesses before – and going bankrupt – Damaris was ready for a new start. “The Amway business opportunity was an answer to prayer,” she says. Coincidentally, she was introduced to it by members of her church.
Today, “Money is no longer an issue,” she says. “I marvel that with so little [financial] investment, you can receive so much.”
Obviously, Damaris has done a lot of hard work to get to where she is today. “Each person has their struggles and fears they have to eventually work through,” she says. But now she knows where she’s going: only up from here.
“My vision is to continue my business and expand my missionary work to other countries,” she says. “There are a lot of women who’ve lost hope because they don’t have anyone telling them, ‘You can do it!’ I want to be that person.”
Damaris is also starting a foundation for children with cancer who can’t afford care. Through volunteering at a local hospital, “I have seen children die because their parents didn’t have the money for treatment. That causes me a great deal of pain.”
What brings her great joy, on the other hand, is the fact that her children, Maria del Genesis, 21, and Rafael Ernesto, 14, have wholeheartedly embraced Amway. “My daughter’s an IBO and my son can’t wait to sign up!”
