Enrique and Juanita Garcia
“We knew life was going to change” - Each morning at 7:30, Enrique Garcia rises to start the day with a smile on his face. He’s reminded that dreams do come true as he buckles daughter Roxana (6) into the car and drives her to the Catholic school across town.
“When we started our AMWAY™ business, my biggest dream was to be able to take her to school every day and then pick her up,” he says. Back then, “it would’ve taken me a year at my job (as a cook) to pay her tuition.”
Just paying the bills on Enrique’s salary was enough of a stretch. Says Juanita, “We were feeling desperate about what kind of future we could offer our daughter.”
When the Garcias learned about the AMWAY business opportunity, they grabbed onto it like a life preserver. “We developed a no-excuses attitude, sacrificing time, sleep, and comfort,” he says. “But we didn’t feel tired, because we knew life was going to change,” she adds.
Just two months before Roxana started kindergarten, Enrique was able to leave his job. “I love watching them share that special time together every morning!” Juanita remarks.
Making it a reality, though, wasn’t easy. “I didn’t want to leave my little girl with a babysitter,” she recalls.
“However, as I listened to the stories of others who’d gone before us, I found the reason. I realized I had to grow, as a person and financially, in order to offer her a better future.”
Today, financial worries are a thing of the past for the Garcias. “We’re even buying our first house – with cash, which is pretty awesome!” says Juanita.
The couple is looking forward to being able to travel more, give back, and, of course, pass on the hope they’ve found. “There are so many places to see and so many people to help that we can’t sit still,” she says.
