Palitha and Mala Jayasinghe

Palitha and Mala met when they were students at a university in Memphis, where he attained his M.S. degree in computer science and she earned a Ph.D. in instructional design. With two young children and working long hours – Palitha as a senior software engineer and Mala as a teacher – they were “time broke.” Mala explains, “We were brought into the Amway™ business by close friends, and said yes at first only because we didn’t know how to say no!”

When Igor and Raisa came to the United States from Ukraine years ago, they arrived with much hope. Yet Raisa wondered if they would ever have the means to visit their birthplace. Thanks to the growth of their Amway™ independent business, they have a family vacation to Ukraine planned for this summer. Raisa reports, “The entire family is going on this trip. We will be visiting our relatives and also meeting the orphans we support there.”
