Ken & Donna Friedrichsen – Emerald
Ken Friedrichsen knows a good thing when he sees it, like his wife of 21 years and the Amway ™ business opportunity.
Friends with Donna for most of his life, Ken jumped at the chance to make her his wife when her first marriage ended in divorce. When people commented on their quick courtship – just six weeks – he replied, “But I’ve known her for 40 years!”
Ken was also quick to realize that an AMWAY business “was a great option for generating income outside of my computer consulting business.”
He’s always enjoyed sharing the AMWAY products with others and still spends three to four days a week checking in on customers, some of whom he’s had since he and Donna moved to Arizona after they married.
“We’ve always encouraged our downlines to build strong retail businesses, because that’s where the immediate income is,” says Donna, a former labor and delivery nurse who’s often complimented on her complexion. “I tell them I believe I don’t look anywhere near my years because of the ARTISTRY® skin care products I use.”
Ken, however, is convinced they owe their youthful looks and vitality to NUTRILITE® supplements. “Years ago, my mentor told me the secret to a long and happy life is faith in God, a wonderful woman, and DOUBLE X® Vitamin/Mineral/Phytonutrient.”
The average monthly gross income earned by “active” IBOs was $115 (U.S.)/$181 (CAN.).
The percentage of IBOs who achieved Double Diamond and above qualification in FY08 was .0038%.
Based on an independent survey during 2001, approximately 66% of all IBOs of record were found to be active. “Active” means an IBO attempted to make a retail sale, or presented the Amway Independent Business Owner Compensation Plan, or received bonus money, or attended a company or IBO meeting in the year 2000.
“Gross Income” means the amount received from retail sales, minus the cost of goods sold, plus the amount of Performance Bonus retained. There may be significant business expenses, mostly discretionary, that may be greater in relation to income in the first years of operation. The success depicted may reflect income and investments outside the IBO Plan.
