Manuel and Rosi Martinez
Becoming the best role models they can be for their children – Bleary-eyed happiness pervades the Martinez household these days, and it has nothing to do with late-night team meetings or presentations of the Amway IBO Compensation Plan. Manuel and Rosi’s latest project launched in March: a beautiful baby girl named Rosie Anahi.
Big sisters Mariela (16) and Vanessa (12) are thrilled. Little Emmanuel (18 months) doesn’t know quite what to make of this show stealer. But one thing is certain: “We thank God for this great business and how it’s changed our lives for the better,” says Rosi, who’s enjoying the sweet rhythm of little ones in the house again.
Not so long ago, she and Manuel were wondering what happened to the American Dream they had come searching for as newlyweds. Between his job at a bakery and hers at a fast food restaurant, they never had enough money “to accomplish everything we wanted to,” he says.
Then someone suggested they start an AMWAY™ business, and everything changed.
“We were both so excited,” Rosi recalls. “It’s a tremendous opportunity.”
The more they saw people just like them succeeding in the business, “the more our belief and enthusiasm grew,” Manuel says.
With support from their mentors in the business and training they received, the couple was able to overcame obstacles, like Manuel’s shyness, and grow personally as their business grew. “I’m a better wife, a better mother, a better everything!” Rosi believes.
“We’ve watched dreams come true,” she continues, like taking the kids to Disney World and leaving their jobs.
“We see a bright future for our children,” adds Manuel. “They’ll be the first in either of our families to go to college.” Manuel and Rosi also anticipate the purchase of their “dream” home in the near future. “Our other desire is to take good care of our parents, who live in Mexico. And to be the best role models we can be for our children.”
