Plinio and Triana Mejía

Dominican Republic

You have to dream big! – Plinio and Triana Mejía initially saw the Amway™ business opportunity as a means for providing “a little extra income.” Before long they began dreaming of bigger and better. “We realized that the possibilities were unlimited. We could build a big business and make more money, and have time to spend with our family, and travel, and …” he trails off, remembering that hope-filled conversation.

“I wasn’t much of a dreamer before starting our Amway business,” he admits. “But our sponsors made us part of their dreams and taught us the importance of visualizing what we really wanted. Now we have images plastered all over the house!”

One of Triana’s biggest dreams – staying home with their kids – came true after their second child was born. “I have enjoyed things with these last two that I missed out on with our firstborn,” says the former pharmaceutical rep. Plinio’s looking forward to joining her when he retires from the Army at the end of this year.

“Our upline always told us we would have more time for our family,” he says. “That’s what we were working for, but still we wondered, ‘Will it be true?’ Now that we’re Emeralds we realize, ‘Yes, it’s true!’”

The Mejías anticipate a trip to Europe in the near future. “It’s my wife’s dream to visit France, and the kids want to attend a Real Madrid soccer game,” Plinio remarks.

“Our kids (Derianh, 12; Camila, 4; and José Sebastián, 10 months) just love the adventure of travel, so we definitely see ourselves doing more of that,” says Triana. “We’re eager to give them every opportunity,” including the best camps and universities, Plinio adds. The couple is also eager to help make the dreams of downline IBOs come true. “We want to give our grain of salt, share what we’ve learned,” she says. “You have to dream big, because every dream can become reality with this business.”
