“This business is not just for certain personality types,” claims Neelesh Singh, a software developer by training.
“When my college mates heard we were building an AMWAY® business and were so successful, they were really surprised,” he says, laughing. “From what they remembered – and Pratima can attest to this, I was very direct and impolite.”
Today, he finds empowering others to succeed in their own AMWAY businesses “a very rewarding aspect” of their work.
“This business isn’t just about sales. We’ve learned a lot about interacting with people. Without our upline’s guidance, we never could’ve succeeded. They help us develop ourselves and our team to realize our potential.”
Pratima, who joined her husband in the AMWAY business after they got married, has discovered a deep love for people. “I used to be very reserved and didn’t interact with others outside my family,” she says.
Today, “I dream of building houses for the homeless in India,” she says. “With a job, you’re working for your bread and butter and there’s little left over for helping others. With an AMWAY business, you can make a difference in the world.”
Another way the Singhs desire to give back is by helping their families in India. It’s important to Neelesh and Pratima that their children, daughter Gauri (5) and son Prithvi (3), spend time with them and see more of the world.
“The thing I love about this business is that it’s an equal opportunity employer,” Neelesh says. “You don’t have to come from a business background or invest a lot of capital. You just need to treat it seriously.”
“If I never saw the AMWAY business opportunity, I’d still be working in the tech industry but never know my potential,” he continues. “This business empowers you to take control of your future and see your dreams come true.”
