Roger and Roxanne Holt

Career With a Cause - Roger Holt is a West Point graduate who served in the military for 10 years as an Army helicopter pilot. With his background and experience, he was well practiced in the discipline of making decisions; indeed, he made some important ones throughout his career.

After leaving the military, Roger worked in the mortgage business. Roxanne was working as a security officer for a government contractor when they met at an AMWAY™ business opportunity meeting. Both were attracted to the business for the same reason: it seemed to be much more than “a job.”

“With our backgrounds, we could have chosen many different career paths,” explains Roger. “But we thought we could impact the most people and do the most with our lives – not just make an income, but make a difference – by building our AMWAY business.”

Once they made that decision, they just made small daily decisions that moved their business forward to Diamond.

“Roger has the most discipline of anyone I know,” says Roxanne. “He’s been like that his whole life, even when he was a child growing up. When he commits to something, he just sets his mind to it and does it. He’s always excelled and given it his best.”

We feel blessed to have chosen a career that helps other people achieve their goals and dreams. Our lives are better because of it! – Roger Holt

Returning the compliment, Roger says they each have their own strengths, which is one reason they make a good team. “Roxanne has such a big heart, she loves people, and she is a sharp businesswoman. These are great assets to have in any career.”

The two say they’ve always been students of the business, learning from others who have been successful. “We’re very grateful for the mentors we’ve had,” says Roger. “In fact, this whole business is a team effort. It’s all about people helping other people.”

He believes that making the decision to reach Diamond was pivotal. “Knowing what you want out of life is vital,” says Roger. “Then you have to focus on getting there, no matter what new challenges may come along.”

One of Roxanne’s goals was to be able to raise their family, and they now have three beautiful girls, Kalee, Aubrey, and Delaney (“Lil Peanut”). Kalee, the oldest, just signed up to start her own AMWAY business, which of course, her parents are thrilled about. “We truly count our blessings every day,” says Roxanne. “We have so much to be thankful for.”
