Warren and Vanessa Frie
Time of their lives – Warren and Vanessa Frie are at a point in their lives where they can afford to give their boys (Tyler, 7, and Dylan, 4) everything. But they realize the most important thing they can give them is their time.
“I grew up in a family business (automotive repair) watching my dad never have any time to enjoy the money he made or to take vacations,” says Warren, who manages the business today. “And I was raised by a mom who was a single parent,” adds Vanessa, a former medical assistant.
One of the main things that drew them to the Amway™ business is having more control over their time and family life.
“I saw financial security, of course,” says Vanessa, who joined the business first. “But being able to be home since Tyler was born has been a blessing I couldn’t have anticipated.”
Warren was desperate to not end up married to the family business – and is on track to hand over operations this year. “We were introduced by our upline mentor,” he says. Since then, they’ve worked hard to create a life where relationships take priority.
“We want to spoil our kids not with toys, but with life experiences,” Warren says.
“We love the word ‘immersion’ for our kids,” Vanessa adds. “You’re a different person when you live in a culture as opposed to reading about it.”
While travel, a bigger home, and private schooling are on their radar, Warren and Vanessa are most excited about “going out and making a major difference in people’s lives,” he says. “We’ve had an incredible example of mentorship,” she adds, “and we want to pass it on. This business makes you want to be a better person.”
